Updates and News – 03/02/2020

Well, I need to apologize for the missing articles from the end of last year, and the beginning of this year. I had them loaded into the website, but had put the date of publication in wrong. I put had put the Christmas Thought for last December in and apparently scheduled it for 25 December, 2020 rather than 2019, the same thing with the New Year’s Thought (except for 2021). This issue is now fixed. They are now up and posted on the website viewable for everyone.

I have some plans for 2020. I don’t want to say what they are yet as I need to get things ordered so I can make sure I follow through with them. I am hoping some of the things I have done in the past may be able to come back. I am praying for the Lord’s leading in all things.

One thing I do want to announce is we are planning on putting a book out of the first five years of Believe Better Ministries. This is going to contain all the articles which have been posted on our website. We are calling it the first five years of Believe Better Ministries because it didn’t become such until 2014. So, this is exciting and we hope you will support the book when it comes out. I can’t believe it’s been five years, but it has. We hope we’ve edified you over the last five years (or more) and hope to continue doing so as we go forward as the Lord has called us.

Notes and Outlines

OK, everyone, we are planning for the future!

To that end the Believe Something Better Page has been updated! You can now see a little of what we are planning with it. We plan on having the Notes and Outlines (free material we’re providing) up and available for download. This coupled with the BOGV provides a kind of study bible experience. We hope to have these study notes completely available over the course of the next two years. You’ll get to see the page evolve as more content is finished.

We are currently working on the finishing touches to 1 John-Jude, the first volume which will be made available in the Believe Something Better Commentary Series. We are really excited to be getting so close to actually making something available and having fruit for labors.

In this we want to give all the glory to God. We can do nothing through our own strength and only God is the one with the strength who has accomplished this!

Pray for us as we continue to move forward with this goal of finishing the series of commentaries and for volunteers. We are actively seeking volunteers to get involved in the Ministry. If you feel as though you would like to be involved please e-mail us. We are also open to taking donations please e-mail us about this option as well.

Experiencing Something Better

Believe Better Ministries is proud to announce a new project we are working on. This project is called Experiencing Something Better and it is written by Christians for Christians. The project is a series of books each containing stories of real experiences Christians have had with God. So here is what Believe Better Ministries is looking for: Your Story! We are looking for Christians to write stories to fill the pages of this new project.

We will not turn any story away based on denomination, creed, orthodoxy, or the lack thereof. The goal of this series is encourage Christians of all walks of life from every denomination. The way we are defining experience is anything from an answered prayer to a Christophany (a visitation of Christ). So start writing your story about your experience with God and submit them to us via our e-mail. Subject: ATTN: ESB Story.

Jude to Come

So the Believe Something Better Commentary Series is about to have its first entry finished. The commentary on Jude is going through its final round of editing then it will be read to be unveiled as the inaugural entry in the series. We will be posting a version of it here under a creative commons license. We also plan on recording it as a free audio teaching here. We plan on putting Jude up here for you to see what things are going to look like.

As far as the rest of the series goes we will only be publishing the audio for free as well as notes and outlines. We plan on having these study aids available for free for everyone to download and use. The commentary series will be available for purchase as an ebook or hardcopy book with all proceeds going back into the ministry to help produce more content and upgrade the website.

All in all this update is here to let everyone know to keep your eyes peeled to see Jude coming out. We have a plan in place as far as getting through the rest of the Bible as well. We look forward to putting this forward soon.

Book 1 of “Psalms by RB”

Well we have some exciting news in the works. All the poems that have been being published on this website under the title “Psalms by RB” are going to be published and available for purchase on the Kindle soon! We have capped Book 1 at 40 Poems (all of which are finished and going through light editing). Over the next few days the last five Psalms will be published here and you can look forward to seeing them on the Kindle in the next few months.

This is the first publication to come out from Believe Better Ministries and we are excited and looking forward to it. Keep checking in here over the next few months to and we will announce when the book will be launched. The title of the book is Psalms by RB Book 1 and you can look forward to reading it on your kindle or smart device with a kindle app.
