A note on LORD vs. Lord:

I have used all caps in these poems to indicate the name of God. I could’ve used Yahweh (or YAHWEH, Jehovah, Yahovah, Yahoweh, Jehaweh, or some other variant thereof) but I have decided to use LORD for the name. This is partly because this is how I pray. When I call out to God I don’t call out to “the Lord” or some other form thereof. I call out to LORD, LORD JESUS, and LORD GOD. This is how I pray and the poetry below reflects that. The other reason that I am using LORD instead of a name is that we do not know exactly how the name would be pronounced because the vowels are missing. This “Jewish Superstition” as the translators of the ASV called it has lead to the loss of this divine name.

When “Lord” is used it is using this word as a title. King or Master could easily be switched for the word in this case. This example is seen in Psalm 5 where I am constantly using the term “my Lord”. This is not the holy name that I use in prayer it is simply a title of who is Master of my life.
